Constructed between 1974 and 1982, the Hillview Tower blocks are undergoing decarbonisation assessment. These towers have faced structural and environmental challenges, making them a key focus for sustainable redevelopment.
Invertay House
Built in 1878 as Monifieth Public School, this historic building is being repurposed into 17 energy-efficient dwellings. Its rich history as a school and office space provides a unique context for sustainable housing design.
Angus Council is enhancing energy efficiency in council houses in Monifieth while retrofitting the two buildings using adaptive reuse to preserve their rich history.
